Since January 2024, I've been diving into creating images for stock photo sites. After discussing it with a friend who sells his images on these platforms, I felt a bit disheartened. He mentioned that the prime time for this venture was at the beginning of 2023, suggesting that the market was already saturated and the opportunity to make a significant profit had passed. However, I was really intrigued by this field and decided to give it a shot regardless.
Initially, I started generating images with DALL·E 2, then I got the hang of Midjourney, and eventually, I learned how to automate the entire process with scripts.
From January to March, here are my results:
I've sold 156 images, earning $118 in total. On average, I sell about 10-20% of all sales daily - these are images created by artificial intelligence. If I find the time, I plan to write a guide covering everything from sourcing ideas (prompts), generating images automatically, selecting the finished files, attributing them properly, and uploading them to all the stock sites at once.
Here's a breakdown of my most profitable works:
I've generated around 30,000 images but haven't uploaded them all at once. Instead, I've set up a steady schedule for posting throughout the year. This way, the material is evenly distributed over time and receives good acceptance. Currently, I receive acceptance letters regularly, and I can say that the acceptance rate is about 90-95%.
